The product is not intended for hanging ladders for storage purposes. WARNINGS: All warnings and instructions must be read and understood before using the product. Failure to do so may result in property damage, loss, serious injury, or death. • Always inspect product prior to, and after, each use (refer to INSPECTION instructions). • Never modify or alter the product in a way that would affect the integrity of the product. • Follow all instructions and note any warnings on any ladder the product is used with. • Always ensure straps and other portions are installed on the product in a way that does not cause trip hazards or any other hazard when using the ladder. Ensure the shoulder strap is removed or tucked into the elastic pocket. • Use extra precautions around moving machinery or parts, electrical hazards, chemical hazards, or other apparent hazards. • Use added precautions and consult with ladder manufacturer when used in non- conductive environments. INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING PRODUCT ONTO A LADDER 1. Install the main pad onto the ladder. a. Find the ladder’s center of gravity by lifting it up and finding the spot on the ladder where when lifted it balances side to side. b. Place the middle of the pad on the back rail of the ladder as close to the center of gravity as possible. c. Wrap the two short straps around the back rail of the ladder, tightly slot the strap through the metal d-ring and fold back onto itself and secure the hook & loop. [fig. 1] i. If gussets or any other parts of the ladder frame are in the way, shift the pad slightly up or down to avoid. ii. Ensure the grab handle stays on the top of the back rail. [fig. 2] iii. Ensure the pad hangs down the back side of the ladder. d. Wrap the elastic strap on the back of the pad around a support of the back rail of the ladder and secure the clip around the white cord. [fig. 3] e. Wrap the longer securing strap around both rails of the ladder and secure the hook & loop. [fig. 4] 2. Install the outer straps and shoulder strap. a. The outer straps can be placed anywhere above and below the pad. b. Find a spot where the straps will fit securely and away from any features of the ladder. c. Wrap the strap around the back rail of the ladder, tightly slot the strap through the metal d-ring and fold back onto itself and secure the hook & loop. Repeat with the second strap. [fig. 5] d. Clip the shoulder strap to the d-rings of the outer straps and adjust as necessary. INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRANSPORTING A LADDER 1. Ensure the ladder is closed and the long strap is secured around both rails of the ladder. [fig. 6] 2. Lift the ladder using the grab handle and shoulder strap. For smaller, lighter ladders it may not be needed to use both the grab handle and shoulder strap, but one or the other may suffice. [fig. 7] NOTE: Shoulder straps and carry handles are not rated for hoisting or statically tested. They are meant for transportation only. INSTRUCTIONS FOR WHEN A LADDER IS IN USE 1. Remove the long securing strap around both rails of the ladder. 2. After opening the ladder secure the long strap to itself around the back rail of the ladder. 3. When the ladder is in use the system should be completely on the back rail of the ladder. 4. Secure the shoulder strap, if in use, inside the pocket located in the pad to keep it out of the way [fig. 8] INSPECTION Inspect product before and after each use. All equipment should be regularly inspected by a competent person. Check the following: • Examine fabric, webbing, stitching and other soft materials for cuts, tears, heat trauma, frays or other damage. • Examine all hardware and d-rings for rust or corrosion, abnormal distortion (twists, bends), cracks or breaks, or any other damage. • Examine product and label markings for legibility.
