3. 3 Use the Gashad-Airmask strictly according to all instructions in the user manual. And do not modify or change the product. • Do not remove the Airmask until you are out of the contaminated area. • Please use after shaving thoroughly. Facial hair reduces mask leak protection. • The Airmask does not protect the eyes. Wear protective eyewear in conditions that could damage or irritate your eyes. • Use the Airmask with the parts and accessories listed in the data sheet section of the user manual. • Do not use the Airmask unless power is supplied and it is not operating normally. • Do not use the Airmask while charging via the AC adapter. • Do not use in air pollutants with concentrations higher than the standards specified in the regulations. • Do not use for respiratory protection if the concentration of an unknown air pollutant or pollutant is unknown, or if there is an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH). • Do not use in an atmosphere with insufficient oxygen or high concentration. Do not use in flammable or explosive atmospheres. • Do not use unless you are an experienced user. • Filter should be replaced regularly. The frequency of replacement will depend on usage and the concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere. • Do not use for emergency evacuation purposes. National regulations may impose certain restrictions on the use of filter depending on the grade of filter and the face mask used. At very high workloads, the pressure in the mask can be negative at peak inhalation. This is true for most powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR). In this case, adjust the equipment or consider another type of respirator. Get out of the contaminated area immediately if you: • When the ventilator is low on battery or the filter is shut off, and the warning light and warning sound come on. • When the respiratory system is damaged • When the airflow inside the mask is reduced or stopped • When breathing becomes difficult or breathing resistance increases • When you feel dizzy or your airways are stimulated • When you can taste or smell contaminants The Gashad-Airmask is suitable for use in the following atmospheric conditions: • Temperature: -5°C - 55°C • Relative Humidity: 10% - 95% Gashad-Airmask stops working when the internal temperature rises above 60 °C. If used in an area contaminated with a material requiring special decontamination procedures, it should be placed in an appropriate container and sealed until decontamination can be achieved. Do not disassemble the Gashad-Airmask power unit case. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Failure to follow all instructions for use of the product or failure to use the Gashad-Airmask during exposure may adversely affect the wearer's health and may void the warranty. 2. Before use, please follow the steps below. • Unscrew and open the filter cover to make sure the filter is in place. • Press the power button to check if the battery is charged. It is recommended that at least two green lights come on before use. At this level, the airmask has a 25% to 75% charge and typically operates for 2 to 4 hours. If you need to recharge the battery, charge the Air-mask for at least 2 hours before use. • Inspect the mask for cracks, tears or dust, and make sure the mask is not deformed. • Open the exhaust valve cover and thoroughly inspect the exhaust valve for cracks, tears and dust. Remove any dirt, fur, or other objects from the seat that could affect the valve's leakage. Replace the valve and valve cap if it is cracked or torn. • When in use, check that the harness and neckband are not damaged and have good elasticity. 4. Gashad-Airmask Fitting and Removing Step 2: Assemble the Air Mask Check that the mask and power unit are assembled correctly and in the correct orientation, and that the nose part of the mask and the indicator of the power unit are both aligned to face up. To connect the mask to the power unit, insert the hose connector (black) on one side of the mask and the air tube connector (black) on the power unit and fasten them together. Get used to using the mask release buttons on both sides of the air tube, and leave the mask hose and air tube on the other side unplugged until you use the air mask.

9. 9 Airmask storage To keep the built-in battery intact, the Airmask should be stored under the following conditions when not in use. Long-term storage (>3 months) 18°C to 28°C @ 30-50% RH Medium-term storage (less than 90 days) -10°C to 35°C Short term storage (<30 days) -10°C to 45°C For added safety, the Gashad-Airmask built-in battery has a built-in protection circuit module (PCM) to protect the battery from overcharging and overdischarging. During use, the following precautions should be taken: • Avoid impact or mechanical shock from sharp and hard objects. • Do not use or place the air mask in excessive heat such as in direct sunlight or near a heat source. If the temperature exceeds 100 ° C, the battery will be damaged. Note : The Gashad-Airmask is designed when the internal temperature rises above +55 °C or It will stop working when it drops below –5 °C. • Do not throw the Airmask into a fire. • Do not use Gashad-Airmask in heavy rain. It should not be used to get wet or immersed in liquids. • Do not disassemble the power unit case. There are no user serviceable parts. • If there are signs of severe mechanical damage, do not use the Gashad-Airmask. It is recommended to wash the Airmask after every use. The mask, power unit, neckband and harness must be cleaned separately. Remove the mask, neckband and harness from the power unit before cleaning. 7. Clean the Gashad-Airmask Mask cleaning Here's how to clean the mask of Gashad-Airmask. Before cleaning the mask, open the valve cap covering the exhaust valve plate. To open the valve cap, just find a small groove on the inside bottom of the valve, use your fingernail to loosen the valve cap, then slide it up. The valve cap can be easily refitted.

6. 6 Step 3: Wear the Air Mask To install the Air-mask, please follow the steps below. • Check that the Air-mask battery light is on and the motor does not run in standby mode. • Place the power unit on the back of the neck without the hose on one side of the mask inserted. • Place the chin on the bottom of the mask, and place the mask on your nose and mouth to properly wear the mask on your face. • Next, insert the other hose of the mask into the air tube to stably fix the Air-mask around the neck. • Check that the head harness is comfortable, the mask is properly supported, and the mask seal is not interfering with it. Note : For comfort, the harness is adjustable in length and angle of the headband, adjust the pull using the side adjustment straps. • Now, if you breathe normally, Gasad Air-mask will start the motor in response to breathing and automatically switch from standby mode to On mode. Note : The airflow is signaled by breathing, you can hear the motor and fan, and feel the air blowing in your face.

8. 8 Do not clean the Gashad-Airmask filter as it is non-reusable. Do not use compressed air or any other method to clean the Airmask filter. Cleaning the filter affects the filtering efficiency and reduces the protective factor. Built-in battery charging A 3.7V (3000mAH) Lithium-ion polymer battery is installed inside the Gashad-Airmask. Always use the Airmask charger and power cable to charge the Airmask battery. Otherwise, the warranty will be void. • To charge the built-in battery, turn the airmask over and open the cover of the charging port. Plug the charger cable connector into the charging port and start charging. • Charging is complete when the battery indicator LED turns on three green lights. A fully charged internal battery typically provides more than 8-10 hours of operation time. • When the Airmask is fully charged, disconnect the charger cable from the charging port and close the charging port cover to prevent dust and contaminants from entering the port. Battery alarm When the battery is low, the Gashad-Airmask emits a warning sound with a flashing warning light. When you hear the battery beep (one beep), immediately leave the contaminated area and recharge the battery. General battery information The Gashad-Airmask has a built-in lithium-ion (Li-ion) polymer battery. Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries have the highest energy density of all battery types and are widely used today in portable electronic devices in many industries. Commonly available lithium-ion polymer batteries are similar to Li-ion batteries, but are packaged in a soft polymer film, unlike the metal case commonly used for lithium-ion cells. Soft packaging makes the cells swell slightly from extreme heat, making the defect condition safer. The Gashad-Airmask uses a high quality lithium-ion polymer battery and is designed to run for at least 300 full charge and discharge cycles while maintaining at least 70% of its full specified capacity. 6. 4. 4 Gashad-Airmask is a product that turns on the power with the power button and operates automatically when breathing is detected in “Stand-by” mode, and has an “Auto-Off” function. i) If you are wearing an Airmask and there is airflow in the mask, the motor will start automatically when the Airmask detects a change in pressure in the mask caused by breathing. With the power on, you should listen to the motor running and see if there is airflow in your face. ii) When the Airmask is removed from the user's face and the sensor detects that there is no "breathing", the airmask will automatically go into off mode. The Gashad Airmask has a filter warning alarm that turns on when dust or combined filter is clogged. When the filter warning alarm sounds (multiple beeps) and the filter warning alarm light comes on, you must move out of the contaminated area to remove the Airmask and replace the filter. (For how to replace the filter, refer to ‘Gashad-Airmask Filter Replacement Method’ in this user manual). 3. 7. 7 Before using Gashad-Air Mask, a filter suitable for the working environment must be selected. The Airmask provides a dust filter with a power unit. Before replacing the filter of the Airmask, leave the contaminated area and remove the Airmask. Used filter must be disposed of as non-recyclable hazardous waste (*depending on filter contaminants). Filter should be replaced regularly, and the frequency of replacement will depend on usage and airborne contaminant concentrations. 5. Gashad-Airmask filter replacement Filter replacement The dust filter should be replaced when the Gashad-Airmask filter clog alert informs the wearer that the dust filter is blocked. To unlock the filter cover, lift the lock lever at the end of the filter cover to release the hook. When the filter cover is opened and turned, it rotates and the used air mask filter is exposed. Remove the used filter and replace with a new Airmask dust filter. Turn the filter cover back to the closed position, engage the latch of the lock lever, and press the lever down. Only Gashad-Airmask filter should be used with the Airmask. Step 4: Air Mask Adjustment The air mask must be properly tightened for a tight fit and a comfortable and safe fit. When the Gashad-Airmask is worn and the mask is properly seated, the exhaust will flow through the mask exhaust valve. If air leaks around the mask seal, adjust accordingly until there is no or minimal leakage. If an acceptable fit cannot be achieved, you may need a different size mask or seek professional assistance to assist you in putting on the respirator. Airmasks should not be worn in contaminated areas unless the wearer ensures an adequate fit when worn. Step 5: Take off the Air Mask To take off the Airmask, find the release button on one side of the air tube and press it to separate the power unit and the mask. You can now take off the Airmask. Note : If no breathing is detected, the air mask motor will automatically stop and enter standby mode in about 3 seconds. If there is no breathing detection for 30 minutes in standby mode, it automatically switches to off mode after 3 buzzer alarms.
